Dyslexia Services.

We provide complete Dyslexia testing and treatment at our west location with our Orton-Gillingham trained therapist, Janelle Walter. The language and literacy evaluation will identify the following:

Dyslexia, Mixed (Receptive-Expressive) Language Disorder, Expressive Language Disorder, Phonological Language Disorder, Unspecified Symbolic Dysfunction

Assessments (testing) include the following areas:

• Oral language
  
• Phonological processing skills
  
• Reading fluency
  
• Reading comprehension
  
• Decoding
  
• Spelling
  

Language and literacy evaluation will be held on Mondays between 8:00am-12:00pm. Assessments typically take 3.0 hours to complete. We encourage bringing a snack for your child. Parents will be asked to return to the clinic for a follow-up appointment to allow the speech-pathologist to share assessment results, provide education and recommendations for future care. At the follow-up visit, parents will also be provided with the language and literacy evaluation report.

If applicable, please provide a copy of your child's IEP/504 plan and any other previous evaluation reports, etc.
