Common Patient Needs

Voice disorders are commonly seen at our facility. Voice problems can occur from vocal misuse/abuse, laryngeal pathology, neurological disease, head/neck cancer, and other issues. Vocal Cord Dysfunction (VCD) is the abnormal tightening of the vocal   cords on inhalation and/or exhalation. We help many patients with this disorder, including athletes.

Our adult therapists specialize in many areas, including swallowing difficulty (dysphagia). Dysphagia can occur for many reasons, including strokes, neurological disease, head/neck cancer, and surgery complications and weakness. We are experienced in improving a patient’s swallowing skills and truly care about helping them eat safely at the highest possible level.
